LIPSA offers several types of sponsorship opportunities.  Many local businesses and organizations have found success in marketing and exposing their brand through our league.  Sponsorship opportunities include becoming a league sponsor, an official sponsor of one of our events throughout the year, or through sponsorship of a softball team.  Please contact us to discuss all that a LIPSA sponsorship can offer!

Sponsorship of a 2012 LIPSA Softball team includes the following:

Full Sponsorship

- Complete creative control of team uniform with company color, name and logo.
- Official team naming rights - (example MetLife Mets)
- Company advertising on website, weekly newsletter, league Facebook pages, on team trophies, etc.
- Exposure if you choose at Long Island GLBT Expo or any place where LIPSA Softball has a booth or does any type of recruiting or information sessions throughout the year.
- Freedom to bring any signs banners, etc to all team games at the approval of league coordinators.
- Opportunity to market directly to all LIPSA players and fans through league coordinators.
- Bars/Restaurants that sponsor will become the top choice for teams to gather after some of the games   (details of this should be worked out directly with the team coach.)
- Free information booth at the annual Awards Dinner.


Partial Sponsorship:

- Company advertising on website, weekly newsletter, etc.
- Exposure if you choose at Long Island GLBT Expo or any place where LIPSA Softball has a booth or does any type of recruiting or information sessions throughout the year.
- Freedom to bring any signs, banners, etc. to any or all team games at the approval of league coordinators.
- Opportunity to market directly to all LIPSA players and fans through league coordinators.
- Bars/Restaurants that sponsor will become the top choice for teams to gather after some of the games (details of this should be worked out directly with the team coach.)

The Long Island gay and lesbian community is a growing, powerful, hard-to-reach market-segment, and many local businesses have benefited greatly in recent years through team sponsorship. Recent sponsors have included Hunters Garage, David Badanes Law Offices, Centereach Animal Hospital, Home Towne Tavern, Applebees, Horizon Realty Group, Tommys Place, Happy Homes Realty, Long Island Sports Massage and many others.  If you have any other ideas of how to enhance the benefit of your sponsorship, let us know and we would be happy to try to implement your ideas.

Sponsor contribution is generally something that is worked out between the sponsor and head coach of the team.  LIPSA is a 501c3 not-for-profit charitable organization, so check with your accountant because this could potentially be a tax consideration for your business.  LIPSA Softball is bigger and better than ever this year.  We have more teams and more players than ever before.  There are many studies that show how loyal the GLBT community and their friends and families tend to be towards organizations and companies that go out of their way to show their support of their community, and in many cases are willing to spend more in doing so.
