Island Pride Sports Association
LIPSA is proud to offer several different sports leagues, events and recreational activities to all Long Islanders, regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation or ability level, as long as they are comfortable in a gay-friendly environment. Everyone is welcome - no reason to be shy or feel intimidated. Some sports leagues are competitive in nature, others are strictly social and recreational, but all maintain an atmosphere where good sportsmanship is the top priority.
LIPSA currently offers co-ed and womens softball
leagues, bowling leagues, tennis, hiking, cycling, flag football, beach volleyball, indoor volleyball and much more. In 2012
we are looking into getting soccer, rugby and basketball programs underway. In addition, LIPSA often times holds sports-related
fundraisers and other one-time events. If you have any ideas or would like to volunteer your time in helping us expand, get
